Niagara Fairyland Centres
Since 1954, Niagara and its people have passionately devoted time, energy and funds to enriching the lives of children with special needs. Since 2008, Niagara has supported 28 Fairyland Centres across Australia and New Zealand, giving over 3000 children access to therapy disguised as play.
Funds for the Fairyland Centres are raised through Niagara’s Crown Pin Club, a charitable arm of the business. Charity auctions are held at Niagara’s annual sales convention and staff donate both time and funds for the projects. In recent years, locally-based charities and clubs such as Lions and Rotary Clubs have expressed interest in supporting some of the costs associated with the creation of Fairyland Centres at schools in their area.
Our goal is to continue to expand the Fairyland program to allow all children who attend a special school in Australia and New Zealand to have access to the unique combination of therapy and play that a Fairyland Centre can offer. Our dream is that this wonderful idea, created almost 55 years ago by a devoted paediatrician and a passionate philanthropist, might one day be made available to children with special needs all across the world, no matter where they live.
